At the last meeting of the parish council, Wendy Green was welcomed by councillors and co-opted onto the council to bring it back to a full compliment of 7 councillors.
Cllr. Green has given the following statement regarding her new role.
"I grew up in deepest darkest Kent, where I was a parish councillor for 12 years, 9 of which chair of planning for my sins.
I have been teaching Countryside Managment for 20 years therefore I have a working knowledge and passion for the countryside and all that lives within it.
My husband and I moved here in the winter of 2023, we love the countryside, the people and the way of life. Both my husband and I have always lived in the countryside and are passionate about preserving it for the future generations but at the same time ensuring that everyone benefits from living in such a beautiful village."
